Thomas Rhein

Thomas Rhein studierte Soziologie und Volkswirtschaftslehre in Marburg und Nürnberg. Das Studium schloss er 1981 als Diplom-Volkswirt ab. Von 1982-1984 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter im IAB. Von 1985-1991 war er betriebswirtschaftlicher Produktentwickler für EDV-Programme in einem Software-Haus. Ab 1991 war Thomas Rhein wieder wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am IAB.

Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Lohn- und Einkommensungleichheit und Langzeit-Nichterwerbstätigkeit im internationalen Vergleich.
